Abstract The derivatives of the response of a structural system with respect to the system parameters are termed sensitivities. They play an important role in assessing the effect of uncertainties in the mathematical model of the system and in predicting changes of the response due to changes of the design parameters. Fast Graph Filters for Decentralized Subspace Projection

A number of inference problems with sensor networks involve projecting a measured signal onto a given subspace. In existing decentralized approaches, sensors communicate with their local neighbors to obtain a sequence of iterates that asymptotically converges to the desired projection. In contrast, the present paper develops methods that produce these projections in a finite and approximately minimal number of iterations. Building upon tools from graph signal processing, the problem is cast as the design of a graph filter which, in turn, is reduced to the design of a suitable graph shift operator. Abstract The path integral solution method is an effective tool for evaluating the response of non-linear systems under Normal White Noise, in terms of probability density function (PDF). In this paper it has been observed that, using short-time Gaussian approximation, the PDF at a given time instant is the Gauss Transform of the PDF at an earlier close time instant. A modal approach for the evaluation of the response sensitivity of structural systems subjected to non-stationary random processes

A method for the evaluation of the response sensitivity of both classically and non-classically damped discrete linear structural systems under stochastic actions is presented. Combined dynamic response of primary and multiply connected cascaded secondary subsystems

A method is proposed for the deterministic and stochastic non-stationary analysis of linear composite systems with cascaded secondary subsystems subjected to a seismic input. This method makes it possible to evaluate, by means of a unitary formulation, the deterministic and non-stationary stochastic response of both classically and non-classically damped subsystems and of secondary subsystems multiply supported on the primary one, as well as the ground. Modal analysis for random response of MDOF systems

The usefulness of the mode-superposition method of multidegrees of freedom systems excited by stochastic vector processes is here presented. The differential equations of moments of every order are written in compact form by means of the Kronecker algebra; then the method for integration of these equations is presented for both classically and non-classically damped systems, showing that the fundamental operator available for evaluating the response in the deterministic analysis is also useful for evaluating the response in the stochastic analysis.
